Recognising that this is the decade of action, and that action needs to be guided by strong political momentum, the 2024 Brazilian G20 Presidency is using the coalition-building power of the Clean Energy Ministerial and Mission Innovation to convene clean energy experts from public and private sectors, academia, innovators and civil society institutions to gather to demonstrate concrete clean energy actions in support of the G20 Energy Transition Agenda. This unique moment will bring together Ministers and senior officials from around the world, representing over 80% of global clean energy investments and the majority of public clean energy R&D spending, together with C-suite executives and heads of international organisations to agree on concrete steps to make clean energy transitions.

The IMOs Navigating the Future: Safety First theme is a reflection of its efforts to improve maritime security and safety while protecting the marine environment. It also ensures that its legislative development process safely accounts for the rapid advancement and change in technology. For the second International Symposium on Extreme Maritime Weather "Bridging the Knowledge Gap Towards Safer Shipping," experts are being assembled by WMO and IMO.
