National Centre of Excellence in Green Ports and Shipping

Worldwide there is an acute shortage of port capacity to meet the demands of the rapidly growing offshore wind sector. In the Asia Pacific (APAC) region alone, port capacity needs to grow fourfold over the next decade. This creates a huge opportunity but also challenges. One will get practical advice and guidance on what is needed to transform a port into a world-class wind port. The International Conference on Green Hydrogen 2024 brings together leading experts, policymakers, and industry pioneers to explore the transformative potential of green hydrogen in advancing global sustainability and energy transition. This year's conference, themed "Pioneering Sustainable Solutions," focuses on cutting-edge research, technological innovations, and strategic policy frameworks essential for scaling up green hydrogen production, storage, and utilization. The National Shipbuilding Office (NSO) will curate a morning of speeches, discussion and networking opportunities, with experts from the NSO, government procurement teams and industry. With a theme of delivering on the refreshed National Shipbuilding Strategy, talks will focus on key areas of delivery including: reducing the skills gap across the sector; improving government procurement opportunities and process with a specific focus on SME’s and supply chain companies and providing industry with foresight and a pipeline of procurement opportunities. There will be opportunity to engage with the NSO through a panel discussion and multiple networking opportunities.
